Description
Aurora Lagoon is located on E shore of Kachemak Bay, on Kenai Peninsula, 16 mi. NE of Homer, Chugach Mts. 0.5 mile wide.
History
Local name; published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1951; probably named for the village of Aurora formerly located in the area.
