Description

Fish Creek is located on N end of Douglas I., heads in Cropley Lake and flows NW to Fritz Cove, 0.4 mi. SE of Hut Point and 7 mi. NW of Juneau. 6 miles long.

History

This name first appeared in mining records in 1885 when the water was claimed for the Treadwell mines. The stream subsequently became the northern end of the Treadwell Ditch (DeArmond, 1957, p. 19). The name was reported in 1902 by . J. Peters, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
