Description
Inspiration Point is located on E shore of Ice Harbor on Favorite Passage, 0.8 mi. N of village of Ice Harbor and 15 mi. NW of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Local name derived from the magnificent view from the point across Favorite Channel and Lynn Canal to the Chilkat Range (DeArmond, 1957, p. 25). Name was published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1962.
