Description
Auke Nu Cove is located on N shore of Auke Bay, N of Auke Cape and 12 mi. NW of Juneau, Coast Mts. 1 mile wide.
History
Tlingit Indian name "Auk Nu" meaning "Auk Fort"; published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1962. Auk is the name of a subdivision of the Tlingits who lived in the area.
