Description
Link Island is located in Beardslee Islands in Glacier Bay, Glacier Bay National Monument, 4 mi. NE of Strawberry Island and 56 mi. NW of Juneau, St Elias Mts.
History
So named by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1939 because two islands shown on previous charts are now linked together near the center by a narrow grass=covered isthmus.
