Description
Hutchins Bay is located just W of Beardslee Island in Glacier Bay, Glacier Bay National Monument, 55 mi. NW of Juneau, St. Elias Mts. 4.2 miles long.
History
Named by the US@C&GS in 1942 because the boy's southern arm is the nesting place for large numbers of Hutchins geese (Branta canadensis hutchinsii).
