Description
Scull Island is located in Stephens Passage, 3.3 mi. NW of Point Young on Admiralty I. and 11 mi. SW of Juneau, Alex Arch.
History
Named in 1869 by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN), and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 172). Called "Scull Islet" by Baker (1906, p. 556).
