Description
Horse Shoal is located in Stephens Passage, 0.8 mi. E of Horse I. and 11 mi. SW of Juneau, Alex. Arch. 0.9 mile long.
History
Named by Lieutenant Commander H. B. Mansfield, U.S. Navy (USN), and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 149-150) as Horse Shoals.
