Description
Young Bay is located on N coast of Admiralty I., W of Point Young, 12 mi. SW of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Apparently named by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) and published in 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 172). The name probably derived from Point Young which was named by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN) in 1794.
