Point Marsden is located on W coast of Admiralty I. in Chatham Strait, 2 mi. S of mouth of Hawk Inlet and 22 mi. SW of Juneau, Alex. Arch.
History
Joseph Whidbey in 1794 passed by the point which was later named by Captain Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN) (1801, v. 15, p. 439), either for William Marsden or Samuel Marsden of Paramatta, New South Wales (Wagner, 1937, v. 2, p. 396).
