Description
Iceberg Point is located on S end of Lemesurier I., in South Passage, S of Jacks Cove, 25 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts.
History
So named by Master G. C. Hanus, U.S. Navy (USN), in 1880 "because much drift ice was stranded on the point." The name was published by US@C&GS in the 1883 Alaska Coast Pilot (p. 190).
