Description
Hunter Cove is located on W shore of Muir Inlet, in Glacier Bay National Monument, 1.5 mi. S of Rowlee Point and 60 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts. 1.4 miles wide.
History
Name published by the American Geographical Society (Field, 1947, map). Named for Captain J. C. Hunter of the Steamship (SS) City of Topeka, which brought H. F. Reid to Muir Inlet in 1892
