Description
Hanagita River is located heads in group of lakes 12 mi. ESE of Hanagita Lake, flows WNW 17 mi. to Tebay River, 4 mi. SE of Summit Lake and 73 mi. ENE of Valdez, Chugach Mts.
History
Named in 1900 by T. G. Gerdine, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), for Hanagita, "Ahtena Indian Chief."
