Tebay River is located heads in Tebay Lakes, flows NE to Chitina River, 36 mi. SW of McCarthy, Copper River Basin.
History
Indian name reported in 1885 by Lieutenant Allen (1887, p. 57), USA, to mean "a variety of sheep" (p. 54).
