Description
Chichagof Harbor is located on N coast of Attu I., Aleutian Islands. 0.5 mile wide.
History
Probably named in 1830 by A. K. Etolin for the brig, Chichagof, which he commanded. The name was first published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 30), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "Gavan Chichigova," i.e. "Chichagov Harbor."
