Name reported as "Round Top" by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1902. This feature was called "Dome" in 1897 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
