History
Aleut name published by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 295), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "Khaboutcha." (1852, map 24), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as M(ys) Khabutch or Khabutch Cape, and by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1882 as Khabucha Point on Chart 806.
