Description
Dolgoi Island is located one of Pavlof Is., Aleutian Range. 10 miles long.
History
Shown by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 24), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "O(strov) Dolgoi," meaning "long island" and reported by Lutke, 1836, as "Lile Dolgoi." The Aleut name was "Ananakeik," according to Father Veniaminov (1840, v. 1, p. 252).
