Description

Located in the southeastern portion of Deschutes National Forest, and partially on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered lands; just southeast of Hoona Ridge and 5.9 km (3.7 mi) east-southeast of Buzzard Rock.

History

"Moohoo'oo" is Paiute and reportedly translates to "owl". When spoken sounds like an owl calling. Owls are common birds in this area.
