Description
Trends northeast to the Deschutes River, about 27 km (17 mi) northeast of the community of Sisters; in Crooked River National Grasslands in Deschutes National Forest.
History
The name is derived from the many cow carcasses that were left in the canyon about 30 years ago by a local rancher. The bull skulls were used to develop the original Crooked River National Grasslands logo.
