Description
This canyon is roughly 500 foot deep for much of its length and known as Cañoncito de los Nogales (NM Spanish: 'little canyon of the Box Elder') and by the variant of Spring Canyon. Its arroyo empties into a broad glen called the Cañada de los Nogales.
History
Appears on a plat of survey plat dated 1918 as “Cañoncito de las[sic] Nogales” (Township 25 North, Range 1 E, US General Land Office Records). Nogales Cliff House (BGN # 1968057) is located within.
