Description
Located about 1.6 km (1 mile) southeast of Lost Trail Pass, 40 km (25 miles) west of Wisdom, Montana and 57.9 km (36 miles) north of Salmon, Idaho.
History
Named for Chief Joseph who, in 1877, led his band of Nez Perce Indians through this area in their flight to Canada.
