Description
Located 2.7 mi SSW of Pittsfield; Berkshire County (US-T121).
History
So named partly because of its natural Features and also in honor of George Washington. Settled in 1769 and incorporated in 1779. Before 1779 known as the plantation calle Tauconnuck Mountain (MA-T1).
