Located in the Culebra Range, 1 miles south of Culebra Peak, and 15 miles southeast of San Luis.
History
Rojo Espinozo is the Spanish translation of the name Red Mountain. The name Rojo Espinozo was submitted by the Colorado Mountain Club on 15 July 1971; on 11 January 1972, the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) rejected this proposal, and decided that the Red Mountain be made an Official Standard Name.
