Extending from Sangre de Cristo Pass on the N to Costilla and Comanche Creeks on the S, it forms the part of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains between the Sangre de Cristo Range to the N and the Taos Mountains and the Cimarron Range to the S; Culebra Peak (14069 ft) is its highest point; 373700N1051200W (N end), 364600N1051200W (S end).
