Description

In Sequoia National Park, heads at Silliman Lake at the base of Mount Silliman on the Kings-Kern Divide, flows west-southwest to Marble Fork Kaweah River at Lodgepole. (US-T121)

History

Named for Professor Benjamin Silliman (1779-1864), chemist, geologist and physicist at Yale University. In 1802 he was appointed first professor of chemistry and natural history where he served until 1853. (US-T121)
