Description
Heads 1.6 km (1 mi) east of Canthook Mountain, flows south-southwest for 3 miles to the South Fork Smith River 4 km (2.5 mi) north-northeast of Little Rattlesnake Mountain and 21.5 km (13.4 mi) east-southeast of Crescent City. (US-T121)
History
At its August 12, 1982 meeting the Board on Geographic Names approved Cant Hook Creek. At its October 15, 1982 meeting the Board recinded its August 12 decision and changed the name back to Canthook Creek. (US-T121)
