Description
Farewell Mountain is located on W bank of Tin Creek, 1.5 mi. S of Farewell Lake and 71 mi. SE of McGrath, Alaska Range
History
So named in 1898 by W. S. Post and J. E. Spurr, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because "it was the last of the high mountains."
