Description
Sheenjek River is located heads at 690000N, 1440000W, flows S to Porcupine River, 23 mi. NE of Fort Yukon, Yukon Flats.
History
Indian name published in 1895 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). J. H. Turner, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1889 called it "Salmon," presumably a translation of the Indian name.
