Description
Independence Creek is located flows N joins Mastodon Creek to form Mammoth Creek, 40 mi. SW of Circle, Yukon-Tanana High. 5 miles long.
History
Named in 1894 by prospectors; reported in 1896 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Spurr, 1898, pl. 50).
