Chitanana River is located heads in Chitanantala Mts., flows NE 65 mi. to Tanana River, 27 mi. SW of Manley Hot Springs; Nowitna Low.
History
Tanana Indian name reported in 1899 by Lieutenant J. S. Herron, USA; the stream was known to riverboat pilots as "Redlands Creek."
