Johnston Creek is located heads in glacier 2.6 mi. SW of Mount McPherson, flows SW to Gulf of Alaska, 1 mi. SE of Munday Creek and 83 mi. NW of Yakutat, St. Elias Mts.
History
Nmaed for Richard C. Johnston, who discovered petroleum in the Yakataga region about 1897. Name reported by G. C. Martin, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1903.
