Fitzgerald Island is located off SE shore of Yakutat Bay, 0.6 mi. E of S tip of Dolgoi I. and 4.2 mi. NE of Yakutat, Malaspina Coastal Plain
History
Named in 1892 by Lieutenant G. B. Harber, U.S. Navy (USN), for C. W. Fitzgerald, one of his party.
