9 miles long. Heads at 594100N1385900W, trends NW to its 1961 terminus, 3.5 mi. SE of Seal Bay and 25 mi. NE of Yakutat, St. Elias Mts. Glacier has receded from original location.

Descriptive name given in 1891 by Russell (1892, p. 87), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), who glimpsed it as he passed by.
