0.7 mi. E of Shipyard Cove on Yakutat Roads, 1 mi. N of Yakutat, Malaspina Coastal Plain.
History
Named by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1879 for Lieutenant Peter Puget, Royal Navy (RN), companion of Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), who explored this area in 1794. The name was published in the 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 209).
