Village Islands is located in Zimovia Strait, between Wrangell and Etolin Is., 20 mi. S of Wrangell, Alex. Arch.
History
So named in 1886 by Lieutenant Commander A. S. Snow, U.S. Navy (USN), because they are opposite a deserted Indian village.
