Extends 30 mi. NW from Ernest Sound, between Wrangell Island on the E and Etolin and Woronkofski Islands on the W.
History
Published in 1853 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1493 as "Proliv Zimovya" meaning "winter strait."
