Description
In the Alaska Range, 5 mi WNW of Mount Hayes, 45 mi. SW of Delta Junction, and 87 mi SSE of Fairbanks.
History
Named for by T. L. Pewe for Dr. Otto William Geist (1888-1963), University of Alaska, pioneer researcher in paleontology, archeology, and glaciololy in Alaska, whose glacier work was centered near this area.
