Rough Channel is located between Ogden Passage and Khaz Bay, 4 mi. SSW of Chichagof, on W coast of Chichagof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Descriptive name given by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) and published in the 1908 Coast Pilot (p. 174). So named because "there is generally a heavy swell in the channel ***."
