Promisla Bay is located on S coast of Krestof I., 9.5 mi. NW of Sitka, Alex. Arch. 0.7 mile wide.
History
Russian name meaning Providence, given in 1833 by the navigator Ensign Vasiliev; published in 1848 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. chart 1397 as Zal(iv) Promysla (from Bozhiy Promysl).
