Description
Birdsnest Bay is located on W coast of Baranof I., between No Thorofare and Camp Coogan Bays, 4.5 mi. SE of Sitka, Alex. Arch. 0.2 mile wide.
History
Local name reported in 1951 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). It was called "Kaditskaya Bay" by Samuel Milletich in 1879; according to R. N. Dearmond this is "said to be a Russian family name."
