Outer Rocks is located at W entrance to Khaz Bay, 7.5 mi. SW of Chichagof, on W coast of Chichagof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Descriptive name given in 1897 as "Outer Rock" by Lieutenant Commander Moore, U.S. Navy (USN), to one of the rocks. The name was applied to the group by US@C&GS in 1908 and published in the 1908 Coast Pilot (p. 167) as "Outer Rocks."
