History
Named in 1895 by Lieutenant Commander Moore, U.S. Navy (USN), for quartermaster George Dolph, U.S. Navy (USN), of the Steamship (SS) Paterson. The name was published in 1900 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) on Chart 8282.
