Description
Heads on Granite Mtn., on E coast of Prince of Wales Island, flowing N to Little Salmon Lake, Alex. Arch. 3.6 miles long.
History
Named by C. L. Sainsbury, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1956, for the Flagstaff Mine located in its valley. Sainsbury stated, "The name as such is not in local usage, but is always referred to as the 'creek that flows past.'"
