Description
Summit Lake is located on Prince of Wales I., E of Hetta Inlet, at head of Reynolds Creek, Alex. Arch.
History
Name reported in 1908 by C. W. Wright (in Brooks and others, 1909, pl. 3), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). "So called because it is located at an elevation of 1300 feet." This feature was called "Lake Simmons" by E. F. Dickins, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1905.
