Description
Gas Rock is located in Sea Otter Sound, 0.7 mi. N of Heceta I., Alex. Arch. 0.1 mile long.
History
Named in 1904 by field party under the direction of E. F. Dickins, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS); so called "because supply of gas was cached here."
