Description
Camp Island is located between Le Conte Bay and Frederick Sound, 16 mi. SE of Petersburg, Coast Mts. 0.4 mile long.
History
Named in 1887 by Lieutenant Commander C. M. Thomas, U.S. Navy (USN), for charting purposes; name published in 1888 on U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) Chart 705.
