History
Named in 1928 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) "in honor of Frank Luke, aviator in World War 1, who made a brilliant record in the few weeks he served before being killed in action***." The name "Grace Point" was proposed for this feature in 1927 by Captain R. S. Patton, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
