Coal Bay is located extends S from Kasaan Bay, on E coast of Prince of Wales I., Alex. Arch. 1 mile long.
History
Descriptive name given in 1891 by Lieutenant Commander H. E. Nichols, U.S. Navy (USN), who reported, "There are outcrops of coal here."
