Description
Kalla (historical) is located on right bank of Kobuk River, 14 mi. E of Shungnak, Kotzebue-Kobuk Low.
History
Former Eskimo village visited in 1885 by Lieutenant G. M. Stoney, U.S. Navy (USN). He wrote the name "Kallamute," i.e. "Kalla people."
